Buy Back option

One of the unique aspects of Rent My House Back’s sale and rent back scheme is the Buy Back Option, which is available to all our sale and rent back customers. We are the only FSA authorised and regulated company that offers this option on every sale and rent back scheme.

This means that, at any time during your tenancy, you have the option of being able to buy back your home. Rent My House Back’s Buy Back Option is very straightforward, and is subject to the following criteria:

The purchase price will be determined by a RICS (Royal Institute of Charted Surveyors) Chartered Surveyor

Rent My House Back will then apply a 5% discount to ascertain the actual purchase price to be paid

The Buy Back Option will be subject to a minimum price, based on the value of the home when Rent My House Back purchased the property To help illustrate the above, an example is shown below;

If the property was valued at £100,000 when Rent My House Back originally purchased the property, but the property has a market value of £80,000 when you wished to exercise the Buy Back Option, the purchase price would be set at £95,000 (£100,000 less 5%)

If you enter into a sale and rent back agreement you are unlikely to get the market value of your home and, as a tenant, may only be able to remain there for a limited period.  There may be other options available.  Please ask for a key terms statement.
